Once I tell people who my work is studying women’s shopping patterns, you can’t imagine the jokes we hear. A lot of them revolve round the stereotype that ladies have actually an appetite that is insatiable footwear, handbags and sparkly things. Oh, only if it had been therefore easy, we state. After which we bring straight down the hammer and let them know the genuine reason women go shopping a great deal. That’s once the jokes end plus the discussion gets many more interesting.
